our search for a new conductor
Following the passing of our previous maestro, Bruce Perry, in June 2023, Fort Dodge Choral Society has been conducting a search to hire a new director for the choir. An Interim Conductor is planning the first concert and those thereafter, as needed, to accommodate and assist throughout the transition of hiring a new conductor.
Maestro Perry left some big shoes to fill, seeing as he left behind him a legacy of 30 years of music making with Fort Dodge Choral Society. We are proud to announce that we have narrowed our competitive application pool down to 3 candidates, who are currently going through the interview and audition process with the choir as well as the Fort Dodge Choral Society Conductor Search Committee.
